connecting commercial advertisers and the beef industry

The beef industry is capitalizing on a tremendous improvement in beef quality, and much of that progress can be attributed to the genetics supplied by purebred breeders. These breeders study genomic data in making breeding decisions and then later evaluate carcass data to make sure they are on the right track. Recent USDA data show the portion of federally inspected cattle slaughter that grades Choice and Prime (the top two grades) has grown from 63% in 2009 to 80% in 2019 and 2020.

CMG is proud to represent to commercial advertisers the official breed publications for Charolais, Gelbvieh, Hereford, Red Angus, and Shorthorn associations. Additionally, three of these breeds have commercial publications that are included in a special BBCP buy with increased circulation into the commercial cow calf sector.

We live in a world of niches and cowmen appreciate breed-specific editorial information and genetic advertising not found anywhere else. These publications supply unique breed-related editorial including association news, genetic updates, breed-hosted events, sale reports and same-breed production stories. Commercial advertisers that are used to seeing thin beef industry magazines are often astounded by size, scope and look of prosperity these publications have.  Commercial marketers are invited to “Advertise where the breeders do.”

Take a look at the attached PDF’s and let us know how we can assist you with commercial marketing opportunities to reach beef industries genetic leaders.

Reach the genetic suppliers of the world's best beef in Red Angus Magazine, Hereford World, Shorthorn Country, Charolais Journal, and Gelbvieh World. They breed the best. They want the best. Tell them about your product.
